What IsItBumpy is
An information website for passengers, especially nervous flyers. It explains in plain words the weather and turbulence expected on a route.
Forecasts are estimates
They are calculated automatically from weather models and public data from meteorological agencies, and they can be wrong. They do not replace information from your airline or instructions from the crew, and they must not be used to plan flights or make safety decisions.
Not medical advice
If fear of flying affects you a lot, talk to a health professional.
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense ads, which are kept separate from the content. Advertisers have no influence on the forecasts or the articles.
Affiliate links
Some links to other websites (for example, travel or insurance) may be affiliate links: if you buy through them, IsItBumpy may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We say so next to the link. It does not change our forecasts.
Flight schedules
The list of flights at each airport comes from AeroDataBox.
Third-party data
We use data from other organisations under their own licences, such as MET Norway (CC BY 4.0) and OpenStreetMap (ODbL). Airline names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify them.
Fair use
Do not try to access other people’s accounts, overload the service or copy its data in bulk. We may close accounts that do.
Liability
We provide the site as it is, without guaranteeing that it is always available or that the information is accurate. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, without affecting the rights your own country’s law gives you.
